The Brisbane acroyoga community opened its homes from 4-6 August to invite interstate acrojammers to crash with them for an epic weekend long jam. The exchangers are co-ordinated with jam organisers from each city who find places to jam over the weekend and help people find couches and new friends.

This weekend included a welcome BBQ dinner at Kangaroo Point Cliffs on the Friday night, a sleepover on Friday at Studio Akasa and of course park jams at Orleigh Park and New Farm. Organiser Sophia Edwards said the weekend was a huge success; “The event was great, everything that was planned went really smooth, all the locals offered car pooling to help the visitors around, (we did) lots of pops which created a really fun motivation between each community as it’s something we are all working on… (there were) lots of bonds created and strengthened and people connecting.”

And that’s what a jam’s all about! Many thanks to Ned Martin for the album below.
